<li>Hi! My name is Jeff Whitmire. As if 2021 was not a bad enough year for all of us, 2022 unfortunately has not started off well for me. Financially I havent been in the best place of the past few months but I was surviving. Last week I went to meet a friend to play pool before work, a man whos identity has yet to be confirmed whom appeared to be under influence of drugs or alcohol got into his vehicle and proceeded to hit my car (white suv) then back up and hit another vehicle before hitting mine again. As you can see in the video i walk down into the parking lot raising my right arm yelling for him to stop. He chose not to but instead turn his vehicle and brutally run me over. Luckily bystanders distracted him enough for me to roll over out of the way afterwards before he decided to reverse his car which couldve made a bad situation worse. Adrenaline allowed me to roll out the way somehow walk, get out of his way befor finally collasping to the ground. Then he struck another vehicle before fleeing the scene. Throughout the chaos noone was able to get a tag number therefore an arrest hasnt been made. I had to be transported via ambulance to Atlanta Medical where i was treated for injuries. I am mobile however my leg recieved and injury that doesnt allow me to work until fully healed which is undetermined at this time given the type of work i do. I have no medical insurance and without anyway to identify him or his insurance i am currently responsible for my own medical bills that currently total over 25k, repairs to my vehicle and my living expenses while out of work. Even if his insurance is identified the process will take some time for me to recieve any financial relief. Although i hate im having to go this route i am asking for financial assistance to get through this difficult time. Anything will help. Thank you in advance. I will update this post as i recieve updates from APD or if his insurance is identified.
