Rob's Medical Fund

Rob's life changed as he knew it on March 2nd, 2018. He had a brain aneurysm that burst, and caused severe bleeding in his brain. He was found unconscious at home, we do not know how long he was unconscious for. We had to make a quick decision to do emergency surgery. He had a tube placed in his brain to drain the blood and immediately after that he was brought back for a second surgery to have a brain coiling done to try to stop bleeding. We did not know if he would make it through this surgery, it was a very dangerous surgery and the bleeding on his brain was very severe. He survived the surgery, but he has a very long recovery ahead of him. While he was in surgery they discovered that he had two aneurysms on top of each other, and the top one bursted. So he still has one brain aneurysm that they will not be able to operate on until a later time. He has a very long road ahead of him, and we are still not out of the danger zone yet. He is currently in the SICU and is fighting to stay alive. He is suffering from short term memory loss, and is having a hard time remembering anything short term. He already pulled the tube out of his brain, and has ripped out a few IV’s. Anybody that has ever met Rob knows how much energy he has. One thing about him is once you meet him, you will never forget him. He can light up the room with just his laughter and joking personality. Life can change in a blink of an eye. Overall, he will not be going home after his hospital stay, he will have to live in a rehab for a few months. Anything will help our family during this hard time, as the medical bills will start coming in soon. We continue to thank everyone from the bottoms of our hearts.
