Stout family: Brian's Cancer Fight

Donation protected
Brian is a superhero. He has been courageously fighting a rare form of cancer for three years, enduring chemo and radiation, countless trips to the hospital for treatment, and now Hospice care. He is 32 years young.

Brian is a superhero, but not by accident- he carries strong, superhero genes. Brian's mom, Cheryl, has been his primary caregiver, working full time as a middle school special ed aide during the day, and caring for her sweet family of five at night. When they received Brian's rare Neuroendocrine Carcinoma diagnosis three years ago, Cheryl remained strong and hopeful, and has not wavered one single day. Her strength as a mom is superhuman, and her constant loving spirit, inspiring.

Brian's cancer is metastatic in the liver and has spread everywhere except his brain. He has outlived everyone who's had this form of cancer, but Brian and his family are now in need of financial support as they prepare for their inevitable next steps. It is Brian's wish that his parents care for him at home rather than being at a hospital during his final days.

As parents, we know that there is nothing that can prepare you for your child having a terminal illness.  As friends of Cheryl and her family, we are committed to providing support so they can focus on their time together, without the added worry of financial stressors.  Donations to this campaign would cover cremation and funeral expenses, home care, food, and supplementary income for Cheryl's time away from work.

The love and strength of this family is inspiring. Brian has been a positive force of love in the lives of his peers, friends, family, and community. Over the years, we have seen Cheryl constantly give to the students and staff that she works with, and this is an opportunity for us to show our gratitude and support in community with the Stout family.

Because the funds are an immediate need for the family, we are limiting this campaign to three weeks. We are so grateful for your donations and support of the Stout family during this difficult time.
