Battling With Betty

In June of this year life as we know it took a sudden change. A change that came out of the blue, without warning, without symptoms and it didn't care who it effected. This June Betty was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. Glioblastoma, also called glioblastoma multiforme, or GBM, is a type of primary brain cancer. This means that GBM tumors begin in the brain, rather than traveling to the brain from other parts of the body, such as the lungs or breasts. Anyone who knows Betty knows she is there for anyone in need. She is the pillar of her family and everyone looks for her support, advice, or just about anything. Betty is a force to be reckoned with and never backs down from a challenge or fighting for what she feels is right. Betty has chosen the Cleveland Clinic for her treatment as she feels they can offer her the best care possible and it also aligns with her ideas of treatment. Betty also knows the challenges this presents on herself, her husband, family and business, however she knows everyone is here to support her during this difficult time. In order to help relieve some of the financial stress on her and her husband Reinhard we are asking for donations to help with travel expenses getting back and forth from Cleveland Clinic during Betty's treatment and income that will be lost while Betty is unable to work and attend to their family owed Bed and Breakfast.
