Support Erika -- studio eviction!

Erika is evicted from her art studio, she needs our help!

Many of you know Erika Mock as an amazing artist who creates colorful eco art wear that feeds the soul and makes the body dance! Others know her as a community activist and creative leader who co-founded the Phantom Gallery Project in Superior, WI. Anyone who has met her has been touched by her warmth and creative presence -- always a kind and wise word to say.

Erika needs our help and support right now. Erika is being evicted from her art studio in Superior, WI which she has rented for 11 years. The building is being "upgraded" for higher paying tenants and she has to go, NOW… Yes, she has found another place. Yes, she will stay in the area and continue to enrich her community.

But this whole process: searching for options, finding a new studio space, dismantling, packing, moving --- all of her materials and equipment, takes a MASSIVE amount of time, energy and stress! It is all of that time and energy that Erika needs to finish her commissions, create work, apply for shows -- in essence, make her living as an artist. She needs her space to create. She needs to create to make her living. As a self employed artist, she doesn't have those "safety nets" to help her through this dramatic change.

Erika is a dear friend, and a great partner on many artful adventures. I have created this opportunity for us to show her how much she is appreciated, and that she can count on the support of her community. So please, contribute what feels right for you.
