Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to lend your attention to our urgent family situation.
On July 11, 2017, our father, Bob Louis, was diagnosed with a glioblastoma - an aggressive and fast growing brain tumor in the right hemisphere of his brain. Fortunately, it is operable however, we are receiving treatment at Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA while our family is from Western, MA.
With one of the greatest neurosurgical teams on the Eastern front, comes many unexpected expenses and additional travel to accommodate the best care possible before, during, and after the extensive surgery that is due to take almost 8-12 hours to complete. We hope that this GoFund me page and your thoughts and contributions will enable us to provide the best care for our father while maintaining the level of support and emotional strength that he can rely on us for.
Additional expenses incurred during Bob's treatment include hotel stays, transportation to and from MGH, food and beverage expenses while away from home, and the cost of time away from work (with the assistance of medical leave of absence), and pre-and post-surgical treatment (to include chemo and radiation in order to manage the growth of the tumor).
Again, we so appreciate any financial contribution you might be able to donate to our father - or even just a positive message to help us keep a smile on his face!
