Help Olivia receive specific treatment for RAD

Donation protected
The beautiful girl in the picture is my niece, Olivia.
After experiencing violence and trauma in early childhood Olivia spent years in the foster care system. She bounced around from home to home until finally being placed with my sister’s family.
After a lengthy process my sister and her husband were able to adopt Olivia and finally give her the permanent home she so deserved.
As they navigated the adjustments of an older child joining the family Olivia was diagnosed with RAD, reactive attachment disorder.
RAD is rare and serious. RAD occurs after devastating neglect and abuse during tender toddler formative years. The child is not given the opportunity to form healthy attachments with their caregivers, or anyone else. This causes the detrimental inability to form and experience healthy secure attachments latter in life. This life altering condition requires specific treatment.
For years my sister has worked tirelessly to try to help Olivia form healthy attachments. Therapy, specialists, searching for other RAD parents and adjusting her parenting style again and again trying to find a system or method to help Olivia feel safe.
It has reached a point where Olivia requires more help than her family alone can give.
They have found a school where Olivia can receive high quality professional help. A school that helps kids with RAD using therapy for the whole family, education for the parents and specialized therapists and teachers for the student.
The hope is that through this professional program Olivia will learn how to form healthy attachments and her family will learn how to help her.  All while having the opportunity to learn, play sports and create a support network of friends who also have RAD. This school will give Olivia a chance to have a healthier bond with her family and a more fulfilling adult life.
The school has a high success rate and also a steep entrance fee.  I will be forever grateful if you could help us fund the education and treatment my niece needs.
Every little bit helps.
