Chemo is now my battlefield. It drains, it burns, it humbles.

The doctors tell me I’ll be down and out for at least a year. A year without steady work. A year of uncertainty, of paperwork, of waiting on Social Security benefits that could take years to even touch my hands. Meanwhile, the bills do not stop. The rent does not pause. The world does not freeze just because CANCER knocked at my door.
