N&C's Burglary Recovery Fund

Hi all,

We went home for a very quick trip to see Nate's grandma and attend my brother's high school graduation. After a 12-hour drive, we came home to broken glass all over the floor, our window screen cut open, the back door open, and the door stop alarm going off. We feel completely violated: all of our clothes and drawers and photos were rifled through. They stole our TV, an XBOX, two PlayStation consoles, all of our games and some movies, old laptops and phones, my webcam and lighting rig, tons of cords and a hard drive, all of Nate's medication, knives, and his grandfather's pistol. There's more gone, but they really tossed the place around and we're totally shaken and haven't gotten a chance to go through things more thoroughly.

We're both instructors at Southeastern Louisiana University and we're about to take a huge pay cut over the summer months. We live paycheck to paycheck and unfortunately don't have insurance. We filed a police report at 3:30 AM as soon as we realized the extent of the damage but don't expect to see anything returned.

We would so appreciate any help in replacing some of the items we've lost. It's been an incredibly difficult year and this is a huge blow.
