Yakov Kovalchuk Critical Care Fund

On November 18th,  22-Year old Yakov Kovalchuk was on his way to a friend's house and ran off the road into a driveway culvert, causing the vehicle to flip and roll over 150 feet off the road.  He was found 60 feet from his car suffering from a collapsed lung, fractured neck bone,  fractured rib, lacerated liver and spleen. He was taken to Vanderbilt University’s Trauma Unit where he has been diagnosed with Diffuse Axonal Brain Injury.




Yakov had been attached to a breathing tube for several days, feeding tube and doctors don’t know when he will fully be concious.  The brain trauma (DAI) has no treatment, and can only heal on its own. We don’t know how long the healing process could take and we don’t know the long term effects of the damage.

 

Yakov is in God’s hands.




We want to first ask that you pray  for Yakov’s healing and a full recovery. 




Sadly, Yakov does not have insurance and the medical bills will be great. 




We have started this fund in order to help cover some of Yakov's medical and physical therapy bills.




Any amount helps and will solely go towards the recovery of our beloved son, brother, friend and Inspiration Figure Yakov Kovalchuk.
