X-ray for Max, plus cremation and ashes

Update-
We were able to get the X-ray early with promise to pay within a week. Sadly the X-ray showed Max has ruptured his first vertebrae which is unfixable and he was already starting to have labored breathing and we chose to help him cross the rainbow bridge and end any suffering. We have opted for cremation. We still have to pay the Vet $450 by n X-ray Wednesday and are sill accepting donations and help! We appreciate it so much as we all grieve for Max. This was a freak accident and he’s gone too soon.
Max is a 9 year old border collie. He is very active and while chasing a ball wasn’t watching where he was running and slammed into a post. He hit his neck really hard. Over the course of a week or so he started to show he was hurt and we took him to the vet. They gave a good prognosis of just a pulled muscle and said R&R was all he needed. We went home.
Over the weekend his ability to move greatly deteriorated. He started to walk cross legged, then knuckling, and finally he couldn’t walk at all. Since it was weekend and happened so fast we had to wait til Monday to get him in.
At this point the best way to describe his behavior is paralyzed from neck down. He can wag his tail and it’s obvious his mind is fine.
The doctor recommended an X-ray and blood work along with pain shot and asked to try acupuncture. We could only afford so much so we went with blood work (per their recommendation) and the pain meds and acupuncture.
Well it’s been a few days with no improvement, but blood work is fine and we are starting anti inflammatory meds.
The vets believe that Max has super inflammation putting pressure on his spine causing his inability to move. But an Cray would confirm everything from inflammation to fracture, to ruptured disk and then we will know for sure if we can fix Max.
