This year, a group of Yasmine’s friends and family are taking on the Tough Mudder challenge to honour her memory and raise funds for the Yasmine McClory Foundation.
The foundation was created to celebrate Yasmine’s vibrant spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others. It supports causes close to her heart, ensuring her legacy lives on by making a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need.
Tough Mudder is more than just an obstacle course—it’s a test of strength, endurance, and teamwork, values that Yasmine embodied every day. By pushing ourselves to the limit, we hope to not only honour her adventurous and determined nature but also inspire others to contribute to this incredible cause.
Your support means the world to us. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to making a difference in Yasmine’s name. Together, we can carry her light forward and continue the work she cared so deeply about.

Jess
I'm Jess, I'm Yas' big sister. I'm studying to become a children's nurse and am passionate about researching conditions that don't always get the attention they deserve.
Why am I doing Tough Mudder?
I've always been active and into fitness, but when Yas died I stopped a lot of the things I enjoy, including exercise. Training for Tough Mudder has given me an opportunity to restart something I love and a reason to stay committed on difficult days. Being a director of the foundation I get to see first-hand how our funds help people and I'm delighted to be able to help raise money for our projects.
What am I not looking forward to?
I'm quite scared of heights so I'm a bit nervous about the Mudderhorn which involves climbing up 40 feet. It's at the end of the course so hopefully by that point I'll be too tired to be scared.
Mark
For those of you who know me, you know my story. For those of you who don’t, this is my story.
I met Yasmine at work when she started working at PGL too and it didn’t take long for us to realise that we were soulmates. We were planning for the future and looking forward to a long life together. This all changed in a blink of an eye on February 21st last year when I got a call saying that Yas had been rushed into hospital. That evening, Yas passed away carrying our unborn child and ripping our entire future apart.
She was the most amazing person who always wanted to help everyone. That is why I am taking part in the Tough Mudder at Belvoir Castle again this year.
After completing it alone last year, I am looking forward to having a team and helping others get through it.
Ella
I’m Ella, I have been best friends with Yas’ older sister for almost 15 years!
Why am I doing Tough Mudder?
I'm taking part in Tough Mudder because I've seen the important work the foundation are doing to keep Yas' memory and legacy alive. They’ve turned grief into something meaningful, and I want to support them however I can. This is a way for me to be involved, challenge myself, and contribute to a cause that matters to all of us
What am I not looking forward to?
Getting wet and muddy… and also the running
This is definitely going to be a challenge
Krystall
Yas was an incredibly special person to me. Already being good friends and working at PGL with her boyfriend Mark before they met - when he introduced me to Yas, it was clear how perfect they were together. I loved getting to know Yas, in and outside of work and we shared many fun memories I will remember forever. Our strongest bond was our shared love for cows
I am taking part in the tough mudder as the foundation means a lot to me, keeping Yas’ positivity alive. Both Yas and Mark have given me the drive to keep pushing through so I’d love to be able to take on this challenge for them & Yas’ family.
I do feel it’s going to be a challenging day, mentally and physically but doing it as a team, surrounded by people who also loved Yas, it will be a great achievement together ❤️
Benny
I’m Benny. I had the pleasure of working with Yas at PGL. I am currently starting my venture into farming and I absolutely adore the outdoors and travelling
Why am I doing Tough Mudder?
I love fitness and training for Tough Mudder is giving me the motivation I need to keep it up! I am also doing Tough Mudder for my friend Yas and her amazing family. I want to help them raise awareness and money for the multiple causes that the Yasmine McClory foundation is aiding.
What am I not looking forward to?
I’m actually looking forward to the whole experience! however, I think I may struggle with the climbing at the end
Sophie
My name is Sophie, and I'm doing the Tough Mudder for Yas this year!!
She is such an amazing person and brought so much life and joy to the people around her and in the community. I know she will be with us on this challenge.
I know Yas through my best friend Mark, who I've known a while. When he told me he had a girlfriend, I was over the moon and was very excited to meet Yas. As soon as we met, we clicked instantly like I've known her forever. She was so filled with wisdom and courage and brought so much laughter into just that first time meeting her I knew we'd get on! We meet up multiple times for climbing, or to go around town, or even hang out at the park. She always brought so much joy and happiness into everything and to every day we shared. Even now she isn't with us, she still brings the same joy and happiness to people, it's like she's still here with us.
As much as this Tough Mudder is going to be hard, it’s going to be a good challenge to do with Yas in spirit and to be with other people who love Yas and are passionate about all the things she was with raising money for her foundation to support others in need.
Seb
I never knew Yas personally but I work with Mark and Krystal who have told me such incredible stories of how much of an amazing person Yas was, hearing how much they both speak about her positivity and determination is so inspiring, which is why I want to help out to fundraise for her foundation.
Ross
Ross is a close family friend and a Director of the Yasmine McClory Foundation so was keen to support the team and help with fundraising.
