No one ever wants to be the one to reach out for help from family and friends. But if there was one family that I would do anything for, it would be Ryan Mahoney and family.
I am not sure where to begin, and for those of you that know me know I can be long— winded and “BRUTALLY HONEST.”
Well this isn't about me, it’s about the most genuine, caring and real person I have ever met. A real live teddy bear.
I met Ryan about 20 years ago. He was an obnoxious full of life teenage, so I gave him a job. Our employee boss relationship quickly turned to him being part of my family, “another son of mine.” Although I have “adopted” several over the years and am proud of all of them as I watch them grow, build businesses, homes and families of their own. Ryan is no exception, or is he! He is the kindess soul I know a hard working man and would do anything for anyone and whos life revolves around his two children, Kaylee and RyRy and wife Jackie “the love of his life”- as he always tells me.
Ryan wasn’t feeling well for a few days, with a headache and fatigue and decided to go “get it checked out.” Within a few hours of a basic blood test the er doctor came in with life changing news, “you have leukemia.” Things quickly transpired from bad too worse. Ryan is currently in Morristown Memorial Hospital, diagnosed with AML Leukemia.
Life has changed with no warning for him and his family. There are so many unanswered questions right now, but I do know we all need to help. Whether it be a financial donation, a hug, or a prayer... Anything will help. Please share this and show your support.
I think for the first time in my life I am just lost for words. I love him like a son and I thank each and everyone of you for any support for this family.
