Winter Homeless Drive

As a part of the Healthy Living Club, at Saratoga High School, we are going to have a Winter Homeless Drive where Healthy Living club members make Winter Homeless Care Packages filled with masks, hand sanitizers, wipes, foods that last for a long time, blankets, hand warmers, and more of items that you donate, and items that we purchase through your monetary donation. We were looking into different organizations that support the homeless community and many of them don't directly go to those living on the streets, but we found an organization called Life Moves that helps the homeless community in the Bay Area. Furthermore, the President of the Healthy Living Club, Noora, is going out to San Jose, Berkely, and more to hand-deliver Homeless Care Packages full of items that you donate.
To survive these difficult times, these care packages extremely vital now because the temperature outside is significantly dropping, it is flu season, COVID-19 is still a deadly disease, and cases are rising again. The homeless community has been terribly and negatively affected by COVID-19, to say the least, which is why we must do everything that we can as a community to support those in need of food, shelter, and something warm to stay in.

The homeless community is often neglected when discussing the pandemic where they have been significantly negatively affected by it. We really appreciate your donation and the homeless community would be more than grateful for your help.
