<div>After so many of you fasted and prayed for Emily in January, she was blessed with the way opening up for her to get special imagery done that we don’t have out west (one of the miracles in this journey) and see a very knowledgeable and highly successful surgeon back east. This finally, FINALLY after five incredibly debilitating years got her the answers to her situation!! Hallelujah!

<div>After being hit in a car wreck and going through several specialists, therapies, and procedures the last five years, she now has hope again. Emily’s head is literally not attached to her body by 50% or more (SO scary!!). She is basically a bobblehead, causing debilitating pain and numbness in her face and limbs, in medical terms, craniocervical instability. This is just one of those infuriating situations where battling insurance and lawsuits has severely let the injured and broken individual down and without the means to actually get answers and healing.

<div>This wonderful and kind surgeon will be operating on her skull and spine, fusing them together with a device he created that outperforms the others on the market, so Emily might get in a much better place with mobility (though never will be what she was born with) and to be free of the debilitating pain that has swallowed up the last 5 years of her life. Her surgery is scheduled back east the first week of March. (another miracle!)

<div>Through it all, Emily has done what Emily does best and has lived to make life better for everyone else by loving, serving, creating, and laughing and to not cry woe is me. But she is now in a very different state–unrecognizable. And she is at a point no one ever wishes to be and that is the one that needs help–help from outside her own capability and resources. They have exhausted all they have and all their efforts to acquire more resources to help with the surgery are leaving them wanting. They probably would never have asked for help, so as someone who has had a front row seat to this, I am putting this GoFundMe together to help them raise a very hefty amount of money. But it is only hefty if they do it alone. And I know a girl who would do the same for me–Emily! She would do it for anyone! She is just so dang good like that!
