Hope for His Heart

Richard has recently gone through major unexpected surgery. He went into the ER in Denver on August 17th with chest pains, where they found a blockage in an artery to his heart. As they were putting a stent in, they discovered further complications in his arteries. He was then heli-lifted to Aurora for a quadruple bypass surgery. He is now slowly recovering and is anxious to return to his home (3 hours away). This is not his family's first encounter with surgeries: They have been thrown many challenges, with this bypass being the tenth surgery in eight years for their family of five.

His medical expenses are extensive, much of which will not be covered under his insurance. His medicine after surgery is estimated to cost $15-$20,000/ year. He and his wife, Grace, have three young boys who would appreciate any help during this difficult time in their lives. All of their parents and grandparents have passed away as well. They are kind and generous people who will give what they can to the world. We're hoping that at this time, others will help us positively touch their lives as much as they've touched ours.
