As many of you know, Mary Allison was recently diagnosed as having a melanoma in her right eye and consequently had to have it removed! She has already had a prosthetic eye put in place and is doing fine.
Dan and Mary are in need of our help financially at the moment. The medical bills for Mary's eye have wiped out their savings. In addition, they are now in a position where they need to return to the United States (South Florida) at the end of the month and find secular jobs.
Those of us who know the Allison's know they are selfless and courageous heroes in the faith. They started by helping to plant the church in India in 1986 bringing their three little children. Since then they have helped build up the church and serve the poor all over the world. Gayle and I took over for them in Afghanistan after they had served there for five years. Most recently, they have spent the past 2 1/2 years in Santiago, Chile.
Gayle and I also know how difficult it is to come back to the United States and transition into secular work. We do not know what they will end up doing, but we do know that those around them will be blessed. Please help Dan and Mary at this time by contributing to this gofundme page.
We have set a goal of $5,000, but in reality I know from personal experience they need at least five times more. Wouldn't it be great to see $25,000 on the gofundme page!
We have done a great job of sending people out to the four courners of the world, and as we get older, hopefully, we can appreciate the need to do a great job bringing them back if the need arises like it has today.
