A new car for Alex

Alex is a neighbour of mine, he is a father a grandfather and a very loved and cherished part of not only our community but the great Aboriginal community.

I won’t try and go into too much detail as it’s not my place to share information on someone else but I’ll give you a brief idea of what I see of this man.

Alex is an Aboriginal leader in our community, he is a man devoted to his family and community. He always has time for a chat or to share a story with myself or my kids, he will teach them Aboriginal names for streets, suburbs, flowers etc. he is a wealth of information and he is always willing to share what he has and is always there for those in need.

Alex also raises full time his 8 year old grandson and not long ago their car stopped working and has not yet been replaced. We use to see Alex taking Owen out to events around our community and it’s such a shame to know that they’re now (and have been for months) very limited in their movements. 

Today I wanted to attend the protest but I was u able to attend as I’m unwell,  I will make a donation to other causes but this is something that I know we can do to help someone in our community in a very direct way, that will benefit not only Alex but many of his mob in and around my area. 

To help someone that spends all his time helping those he loves would be an honour.
