I fell in June and basically broke my back. I have a compression fracture and a dislocated vertebrae. I spent 23 days at UAB hospital in Birmingham where the doctors were fighting sepsis. Now I'm awaiting back surgery at UAB. I don't have medical insurance, so I also have to wait on Charity Care to be approved. I had to quit my job at Lowe's so I have no income except from a renter who is renting a room in my house. My daughter has been going above the call of duty to help me with bills and medical expenses--but she has four small moths to feed etc. I have been flat of my back since July which is the only comfortable position for my back. I have another roommate which is my caretaker. I have to hire a CNA for personal grooming. I could walk when I left the hospital in July, but the injuries soon affected my ability to walk once home. I've had no physical therapy provided. Hopefully after surgery is approved, I will get physical therapy and get back on my feet. Thank you for any donations that you can make towards my recovery and feel free to contact me with questions. Prayers are needed.
