Hi guys! I have been struck with severe bad car luck.

In 2022, someone totaled my car in the middle of the night forcing me to buy a new one very quickly.

In November of 2024, someone without insurance hit my Subaru, ruining my door and leaving me to pay my $500 deductible.

In 2025, I needed new brakes and rotors ($800) and new lights all around as well as new bolts underneath ($500)

Now, the Subaru continues to fall apart, needing a new air filter baffle, a welding job on the catalytic converter, and new heat shields, as well as a few things that have yet to be diagnosed.

With the help of the Book Industry Charitable Foundation, I am applying for a matching grant of $2000. If I am able to raise $2000, they will match it, leaving me with $4000 to help pay for my loan and my repairs, future and past that have yet to be paid off. I currently work two jobs and they still aren't enough to keep up with this debt. I hate that I have to ask for this but this is what it has come down to.
