UPDATE 10/15/20: We saw the specialist today and unfortunately we have to have another surgery. The polyp inside of her ear is so big that they can’t remove it without the TECA surgery which removes the whole ear canal. My baby will be deaf and I have no idea what that will be like but I just know that I have to do it. The cost will be $2,500.
This is a picture from Lola’s first ear surgery earlier this called TECA. It is a surgery for animals with chronic ear infections and/or polyps/cysts that removes the ear canal completely. Her other ear is showing signs that we may be heading in the direction again. Our vet visit to the specialist this week will confirm. The first pre-surgery X-rays, surgery and after treatment was $3000.00. I am not able to afford this again but my baby must be treated. I’m not ready to give her up.
