Honduras, 2018

My daughter, Ravyn, and I are heading back to Honduras this summer for another week of working in orphanages. This will be our 4th summer going. We are raising money to help with the expenses of this trip. We offer petsitting for donations, along with working closely with our church to help raise funds that support part of our expenses. We partner with Carolina Cross Connection. This group sends missionaries overseas to Honduras to help support local needs of various orphanages. Thus, providing us an opportunity to express Christ's love to the orphans while learning what it looks like to fully rely on God. We will assist with various projects that may be needed at each orphanage. We play and share our love with many children. This has been a very rewarding mission trip for us. I have always said that God called Ravyn to Honduras and opened the door for her to serve. With this calling, she pushed me through the door with her. We both have made personal connections with many children and enjoy visiting with them during this week. The money that we are raising will go towards our travel expenses and any medication needed. My goal is to have all funds raised by the end of April, 2018 in order to make the final payment in May.
