Dearest Brothers and Sisters                                            2/1/21 We share continued good news that our dearest Madrinha Rita is making progress with her physical recovery.  She is resting, doing her physical therapy as well as her spiritual therapy of saying a daily rosary, singing  Oraçao and the hinarios of Padrinho Sebastiao and others of the Santo Daime community.  Her family and caretakers continue to support her healing in Ceu de Guananshe receiving prayers from the entire irmandade.  The global effort of fundraising for her immediate health care is now closing as we have reached our collective goal by joining hands in support of our dear Matriarch.  Much gratitude and thanks to all who were able to contribute either financially or with their prayers.  <img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/52630450_1612378396305849_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="52630450_1612378396305849_r.jpeg" /> Dearest Irmandade,                                                                     12/1/20 We have received news from Ceu do Mar where Madrinha Rita is in the loving hands of her family and are informed that as each day passes she is regaining her physical strength, graças a Deus. It will take some time for her leg to heal but progress is achieved with calm patience and com muita alegria e amor. We are well on our way to fulfilling our goal for Madrinha Rita and now have confirmation that our European brothers and sisters will be joining us in this effort as well as irmadade from Brazil. With this great união effort our North American goal is now a little more modest $18,000. So we are more than halfway there! Let us continue together!  We ask each and every goddaughter and godson of Madrinha to contribute to her wellbeing at this time. No amount is too small. Your donation is received as an expression of gratitude for our beloved Matriarch and all that each one has received from this doctrine of love, beauty and grace that she so embodies!   We welcome everyone who can light a candle near her picture to pray the Rosary with her in the evening and for her.  Our collective prayers have a power and can travel  surrounding her with a current of love, strength and healing force.  With hugs of gratitude and blessings to each one from Madrinha and her family.  <img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/52630450_1607011601682171_r.jpeg" alt="52630450_1607011601682171_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /> Dearest Irmandade                                                                                                                   11/22/20  We extend good news that Madrinha Rita has been discharged from the hospital last Thursday with the approval and congratulations from her doctors.   She will be convalescing in Rio under the watchful eyes and dedication from Lulu and her daughters Madrinha Nonata, Marlene &amp; Iracema.  The surgical repair was state of the art and her doctors say that she will enable her to put weight on her leg and even walk again.  Madrinha is really encouraged and excited of this prognosis.  She is engage with her caregivers and in a very heightened spiritual state of mind. We share, that our beloved Madrinha touch the hearts of the doctors &amp; nurses on her medical team in the hospital.  She started to speak with her doctor and the doctor got emotional and then Madrinha Rita started to started to sing a hymn and the doctor got even more emotional and wept.  Her nurses were there as well and words cannot express the exchange of medical and spiritual healing that took place.  Dearest Irmandade,                                                                                                                             11/16/20 We are reaching out for support for our beloved Madrinha Rita. As many already know Madrinha Rita had a serious fall on the Anniversary of Madrinha Tetê's birthday. She fractured her femur which required surgery. It has been a very stressful and emotional time for all the family with the urgent need to act and get immediate medical attention for Madrinha to avoid any further medical complications. Madrinha was helicoptered out of Mapia and then flown by medical jet to Rio de Janeiro. Thanks to God, with the help of generous irmandade, funds were advanced for her immediate evacuation and care. She is presently at a highly regarded and COVID safe clinic in Rio and is receiving excellent attention. We give thanks to God for the divine spiritual help and for all the prayers made that her surgery went so well considering the complexity of the fracture. Madrinha continues to recuperate in the arms of her family and is energetically strengthened by the enormous love surrounding her from the larger irmandade.  During this time of global crisis and distress for all people and many families, we hold on with enormous gratitude to our Doctrine and are indebted to our Matriarch for the spiritual foundation she maintains.  So now, together, we must put our devotion into action and help support her material needs.  CEFLURGEM has established this Go-Fund-Me campaign for us all to channel our love into her care for; * Emergency expenses in Mapia * Medical Jet Transport  * Clinic of St Vincente Expenses * Treatment and Surgery expenses *  Medical follow up and post surgery treatment in Rio  * Transfer and medical follow up in Ceu de Guananshe  * Return to Mapia and house modifications * Expenses for Madrinha's caretakers This is a time where our spiritual union can manifest in material strength.
