Battling Stage 4 Cancer

Donation protected
My oldest brother (Albert "Al"/"Buddy" Prewitt) was diagnosed with Stage 2 Small cell Adenocarcinoma located in his Colon in June 2015.  He was admitted to the hospital and the doctors removed a large section of his Colon and a small portion of his small intestine.  The doctors were very optimistic and felt that they had removed ALL of the cancer.  Even so, Chemotherapy was recommended and he attempted to comply but the Chemo made him deathly ill and he was having trouble breathing.  The doctors suspended the treatments and advised him not to try Chemo again.

Buddy continued to follow-up having his blood tested, and requested additional scans.  Initially the request for CAT/PET scans were denied by his insurance.  Eventually he was able to have another scan only to discover that the cancer was back.  A second surgery was performed and they removed all but a couple inches of his colon.  On Aug 22, 2016 Buddy was told that he now had stage 4 Peritoneal Carcinomatosis.  This is a rare type of cancer that occurs in the Peritoneum.  He was told that the cancer he had was a very aggressive form of cancer.

This morning (July 26, 2017) he went back back to see his doctor because he has been unable to use the bathroom.  They sent him to the hospital for another CAT scan.  The doctors could see a blockage/or problem at the site of the latest surgery along with several spots on his liver.  He was admitted and will undergo another surgery tomorrow.  This is just another bump in the road and he is not giving up!

He is now at the two year point since his initial diagnoses and has been unable to work the entire time.  His wife Lisa has still been working when she can but needs to be off to care for him.  Their savings has been depleted and family members have been providing  some financial assistance.

They are still trying to pay for the first two surgeries and  now will have a third surgery to pay for.  Financial assistance is needed so he can focus on healing and not stressing over paying bills.

Unfortunatly, Buddy's only "treatment" is thru nutrition.  He is attempting to avoid ALL sugar, and processed foods and eat only organic foods.  He is taking supplements including B17, and juicing.

We are asking for any assistance you can give them, but if you can't help monetarily; we would very much appreciate your prayers.  God is still working miracles every day, and only He can completely heal us.
