Make a Difference with Hearts to Homes

May is National Foster Care Month, and we have launched our May 2022 challenge to raise $27,500! (Updated 5/20/22 from $25,000)

 

Hearts to Homes has met the needs of over 335 young people who have aged out of foster care, but this is just a fraction of former foster youth who need our help. Every year, hundreds of young adults age out of foster care in New York City, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk counties. Our reach is only limited by the donations we receive.

 

The mission of Hearts to Homes is to assist newly independent young adults who have just aged out of foster care by providing the essentials to furnish a new home. Many of these young adults leave foster care with few possessions and no family to help them make this transition. Our assistance alleviates some of the stress during the initial transition to their newly independent life.

 

We can all make an incredible difference in the lives of these young people aging out of foster care. Whether your donation helps purchase pots and pans, blankets and pillows, a shower curtain, or a coffee table - you will be helping create a stable, healthy home.
