Hello to all of you mezcal and tequila enthusiasts out there!
Want to be the first of your friends to experience Mexico’s most rebellious spirit? Allow us to introduce you to Raicilla!
We’re working with a select group of artisanal Raicilla producers to help them complete the construction of a small distillery so that we’ll be able to export their hand crafted product to the United States and beyond.
Illegal until recently, Raicilla is one of Mexico’s best kept secrets. It is an agave spirit rooted in folklore and tradition that dates back to pre-hispanic times. Amongst locals, Raicilla is known for its euphoric and energetic properties, and the artisan producers of Raicilla are a part of a community that celebrate the drink that they call “Medicina.”
In order for us to bring you this experience we need your help raising $30,000.
Raicilla’s defining characteristics are its clean ingredients - agave and water, as well as its ancient distillation techniques passed down from generation to generation.
With this funding we will be able to build the facility and the infrastructure needed for us to share the very best Raicilla with you. The work has already begun but lack of funding has stopped progress.
The goal is to be able to raise the funds to complete construction in April so that the distillery will be ready in time for harvest in May.
For every $25 donated this is how we will distribute the funds: $7 Construction $9 Steel Tanks & Copper Coils for the Distillation Process $4 Legal Expenses $5 Bottling & Storage
We have some unique gifts and experiences to offer in exchange for your donation.
All donations over $25 will receive a thank you post card
