On November 30th 2017 our brother Steve Hartman, husband to Angela, father of six, and pop pop of two, was diagnosed with esophageal cancer!
This particular cancer has a high mortality rate. He underwent chemo, and radiation treatments, and had a surgery that removed his esophagus, and part of the stomach. All was going well for the most part, until this past Tuesday when Steve and Angie returned to Pittsburgh to find out the results of a recent pet scan. Unfortunately, the test confirmed that the cancer had returned, this time in a lymph node near his vocal cord. Unfortunately the doctors cannot remove the tumor as it is in too delicate of a spot. He will begin chemo rounds again soon to hopefully kill the cancer, but this is a last-ditch effort. If the chemo doesn't work, he will be considered terminal! This news has been devastating for our family and it comes just two weeks after unexpectedly losing our mother (the above photo was taken at her funeral)
Steve is one of the hardest working men I know, and has always done everything he could to support his large family, including working multiple jobs at a time to make ends meet. So this has been very difficult for him as he has not been able to earn an income since October of last year!
Please consider helping us in assisting Steve and his family meet there Financial needs ( mortgage, hospital bills, traveling costs to Pittsburgh, and basic bills around their home, and many more expenses) and give my brother some peace of mind knowing his family will be taken care of! Please consider donating. Anything will help! Thank you and God bless!
