ARS Album Release & Tornado Relief Benefit

"Like everyone in the Greater Nashville area, we have been directly impacted by the tornado,” says fiddler Jim VanCleve.

"My own daughter's school, West Wilson Middle, was destroyed in the event. So many have stepped up and represented the very best in humanity in the aftermath, and we wanted to do anything we can to help.”

Appalachian Road Show  already had our album release celebration show planned at the World Famous Station Inn , but when the tornado ripped through our community, the idea to also make it an event to benefit victims of the tornado was added.  We were so excited about being able to help some neighbors in their time of need!

Then all of a sudden, the whole world seemingly began to shut down in response to Covid 19.  So, we were at bit of a loss. There were people right up the street who were left homeless, and now they were supposed to practice "social distancing"... Where?  How?

"We expected we would be forced to postpone or cancel the concert.  And then, the opportunity, and the technological means by which to possibly still make a positive impact were presented over the last few days...  and we can hardly contain our excitement!

We're excited again about releasing our new project, (ironically titled "Tribulation") as planned, and also now, to have the potential to reach exponentially more people who would love the opportunity to help those around us who so desperately need the help!"

Call to Action

Appalachian Road Show would like to ask anybody willing, to offer their financial assistance to those families here in Nashville and the surrounding areas who have had their homes and their lives ripped apart by the devastating tornado that hit our community recently!

We will be donating all the proceeds gathered via this campaign to HANDS ON NASHVILLE, an extremely reputable and extremely effective local non-profit, which is doing incredible work in the midst of such catastrophe.

“The Hands on Nashville team and the innumerable volunteers they've been coordinating — like so many other amazing organizations in the area — are providing the help our community desperately needs in the wake of the devastating tornadic event, and now, also in the unprecedented Covid 19 event” continues VanCleve. ‘We’re grateful for any opportunity to help."

Beyond that, we hope that you will celebrate with us.  Let's celebrate compassion.  Let's celebrate the power of music.  Let's celebrate the human spirit.  And, let's celebrate and be thankful for one another, and for our shared trials and "Tribulations" ... they make us stronger, and they bring us together.  God bless you all.
