Xena Needs Eye Surgery

Xena is a beautiful rescue dog who came to her family from the Navajo Indian Reservation as a puppy four years ago.  Her favorite thing to do in life is to get outside and explore the high country of Colorado that she calls home.

Xena, unfortunately, has been diagnosed with a tumor in her eye which will require the removal of the eye.   While her mom and dad could normally cover the costs of the surgery no problem, Xena's mom is currently 9 months pregnant and the costs of the newborn are taking up the bandwidth of their expenditures.  As such, I am creating this campaign to help her mom (my sister) cover the costs and relieve some stress with a newborn on the way.

Xena says: "I don't want to lose my eye but I can't wait to meet my new sister, hang out with my mom after the birth, go on hikes with my dad and look forward to a healthy future!"

When not outside, you can find Xena hanging out with her dog friends, her parents and anyone else who is around.  Thank you for helping Xena through this difficult time and allowing her to continue to be a part of the family.
