Medical expenses

Money to be raised is to help Ken Maas with his  medical expenses.  Ken is a 65 year old male who went to urgent care later evening on September 9th at Gundersen Urgent Care.   He had severe abdominal pain.  They saw him immediately  and gave  him a CAT scan which revealed  an aorta vessel aneurysm of about 4.5 inches.     They then immediately transferred him to Gundersen Hospital where he was admitted and scheduled for surgery early the next morning.   After the four hour surgery he started recovery.

After eight days of waiting for his bowel to work the team of doctors noticed a hernia right  next to his incision.  After a scan they determined the hernia may be restricting the intestine so he endured another surgery.  (All this time he was only allowed sips of water and no food.)  

Ken has been in the hospital 16 days and will be leaving today, 09/25/20, to continue his road to recovery at home.  He will not be able to return to work for several weeks.  He works part time at Blain,s Farm & Fleet.  Without this income he will not be able to keep up on monthly expenses.  Your donations would be extremely appreciated .  We thank you all so much for your generosity. 

Update 11/09/20.   After running several tests Ken found out on last Friday he has an intestinal infection that he got while in Gundersen Lutheran Hospital.  That is an answer to the question, "Why am I not getting better?" He was prescribed  vancomycin 125 mg 4 times a day for ten days.  He hopes this will be the cure and he can go back to work soon.  Will post here again after ten days and let you all know how he is doing.  Thank you all again he wouldn't have made it without your support.
