Yum Darling has been a part of the SolarWinds family for more than a year, joining our team as part of the ITSM acquisition. If you've had the pleasure of meeting and working with her, you'll know she has a lasting impression being the social butterfly, multi-lingual, and passionate connection builder that is Yum Darling.  You also probably did not know that she carries a very full plate at home. She rarely, if ever, speaks on the topic but her 21 month old, Lev Darling, has a rare genetic disorder called Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC). It causes tumors to grow on all the vital organs including her brain, heart, eyes, and kidneys. Kids with TSC have an 80% chance to end up with a seizure disorder – for which Lev has already been suffering 6-12x daily for the last 12-18 months – as well as a 50% chance of being autistic.  Lev is now on chemo to slow her seizures as she’s seen no measurable impact from the 3 medications linked to help her diagnosis.  Her doctors have advised they are at their last option – brain surgery. Lev's journey has been incredibly difficult and heart-wrenching and unfortunately, it's only just begun.  She remains the happiest of babies and has an extremely strong support system around her, including her mama Yum, who continues to spread love, positivity and laughter despite these heavy circumstances weighing on her every moment.  The Darling family needs our energy and support as they inch closer to this life-saving surgery Lev desperately needs.
