A pioneer of the Dance Music industry is having a medical crisis and friends are asking for help from those who knew him, or enjoyed the music he helped popularize.
Ray Caviano needs a kidney transplant. Until that time comes, he must undergo dialysis three times a week to stay alive.
From his involvement with early record labels such as London Records, TK Records, Warner Brothers Records, RFC Records and Quality Records, Ray worked with many of the Top Stars and took a chance on many newcomers to the music scene making them overnight hits in our clubs! We all know the music that Ray has had a hand in bringing to the forefront of our lives, and we are grateful !!!
As the music industry changed, Ray took a hiatus from the business, concentrating on a new mission in life, to assist people, like him, to get in recovery.. Although those whom he helped through this endeavor are not famous like those involved in the music business, Ray’s attention to their interests has been just as committed.
Unexpectedly, a brief illness resulted in kidney failure which his doctors say is permanent. The only hope of returning to a “normal” life is a kidney transplant. Medicare will take care of 80% of the costs, but this campaign is launched to cover the balance, plus the expenses associated with keeping Ray alive until a transplant can occur.
Whether you know Ray personally, enjoyed the music he was involved with, appreciate his recovery work, or just want to help someone who desperately needs it, we ask for your consideration to reach our $50,000.00 goal. Any amount is appreciated and we will deliver a “Get Well Ray” card with the names of all contributors listed.
