Expenses

My roommate refuses to pay rent for this month since she won’t be back next month. She called the cops and they sided with her and let her take her things without paying me anything.  Im planning to take her to court but not sure how long the process would be and if I will even win the case. I haven’t been working since nov due to health issues and have no money to cover her expenses. My dogs both got sick and I had to use what I had to cover their vet bills and have nothing left. The rent is already passed due and if I don’t pay it soon I will not have somewhere to stay. Thank you so much to those who help out and happy holidays !
