Hello, my name is Lakisha R. Gibson, Co‑Founder and Executive Director of Teaching Our Youth Excellence (TOYE) and The TEXAS T.O.Y.E Foundation. I have dedicated my life to serving youth and families through education, behavioral health, trauma‑informed care, and community empowerment.
Every young person deserves access to quality education, healthcare, emotional support, and real opportunities — and TOYE exists to make that possible.
Why This Matters
Every day, we meet young people who are struggling with:
• mental and emotional health challenges
• lack of access to healthcare
• academic gaps
• trauma and instability
• limited career pathways
TOYE exists to bridge these gaps and give youth the support, structure, and opportunities they deserve.
What This $25,000 Will Do (Phase 1)
Your donation will help us:
1. Secure a larger office and program facility
A bigger space means more room for youth services, family support, and community programs.
2. Begin essential renovations
We need safe, functional rooms for behavioral‑health sessions, tutoring, S.T.E.A.M. activities, and workforce training.
3. Expand our youth programs immediately
Including:
• TOYE Health Services
• S.T.E.A.M. initiatives
• After‑school programs
• Workforce and apprenticeship training
This Phase‑1 funding is the foundation for everything that comes next.
