Help Xan Make A Difference

Xan is a 2nd year medical student at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ.  She has been presented with the opportunity to travel to the Philippines in April 2013 and she is going for it!   Xan will be attending a "Midwifery Intensive Internship and Cultural Competency" course.  This course is made possible through Mercy In Action, a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to "mercy ministry among the poor around the world".  This organization strives to bring hope and healing to the poorest of the poor, by serving with "practical acts of compassion".  If you would like to learn more about this group, please visit http://www.mercyinaction.com/

During her time in the Philippines, Xan is excited to hike to a mountain village and distribute vitamins for those in need, learn about global health, participate in prenatal exams and newborn baby checks at the free clinic, and hopefully observe some births!

Also, if you have access to donating medical supplies (including prenatal/children's vitamins, disposable gloves, maxi menstrual pads, urinalysis strips, glucometer & strips, peri bottles, etc), Xan would accept them gratefully, as they will be donated to the clinic in the Philippines.

Xan really needs your help, any amount you can donate will make a difference to her!  This experience will not only benefit those in the Philippines, but will also help Xan become the best [future] physician she can be!
