World Power Showcase - Home Run Derby - Miami FL

THE 12TH ANNUAL POWER SHOWCASE - HOME RUN Derby - will feature 170 of the world’s best players representing their states and countries. It’s a unique opportunity for fans and MLB scouts to see the best international talent on domestic turf. The event will be held at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida.
XANDER HAMILTON
My name is Xander Hamilton and I will be competing in the 12th Annual Power Showcase Home Run Derby. I am a Junior at Broughton High School in Raleigh NC. I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old and I have worked very hard to receive this amazing opportunity to represent North Carolina. When I received the invitation to participate in the Power Showcase Future Stars Advanced International Competition I was extremely humbled and excited that I would have the chance to be able to show my talent as a baseball player to competitors and coaches from around the world. Power Showcase doesn’t just give the players the opportunity to showcase baseball talent, but it gives them the opportunity to get involved in their community. Home Runs That Help is the community outreach for the Power Case requiring the participants to give back to their community and I am grateful for this opportunity to give back.
I am currently training on my own at The Performance Academy, in Apex, NC in order to make my family, coaches and friends proud. I am pursuing a career playing baseball in college and professionally, and I hope this opportunity will provide that for me. I am asking for your help to get me to Miami. Any donations would be sizable, as I am paying my way to Miami, in addition to registration, hotel, training and uniforms. Your donation will help towards all those expenses. The Homerun Derby will be televised on MLB network, so I hope you will be able to follow my journey. More details to follow.
