For any of you who have been lucky enough to meet Bill, you know his warm, loving, personality lights up any room he is in. A big teddy bear who loves his family immensely and would do anything for them. Especially his wife, who he has provided for and she has relied on for everything. Bill is her life. Unfortunately, Bills life took a turn for the worse one day when he went into surgery at the hospital for gallbladder surgery. A careless, unprofessional, surgeon made several life threatening errors that has left Bill under hospital care for 7 months when he should have been home with his wife two days after the surgery. Instead of removing his gallbladder, two blood lines to the liver were cut, there was a staple put into his bile duct which ultimately stopped the bile from draining and caused infection, and did not even fully remove the gallbladder. The hospital did not inform us of the mistakes made during Bill’s surgery, and we did not hear of the news until he was transferred to another hospital. Nobody even thought he would make it in the ambulance on the way to the next hospital. He was short of being in a coma. Because of these overlooked errors
Bill  was in ICU for 2 months, had kidney dialysis, went into cardiac arrest, lost the ability to speak, move, and eat without help, and the list just goes on. The doctors said it was like working in muddy water due to the staple blocking the draining. After a rollercoaster of progression and mostly regression, after being transferred to three different hospital, and going to a rehabilitation center, Bill is finally home still in the same condition he was in the rehabilitation center. Due to the fact Medicare has stopped paying for Bill’s stay at the rehab. Medicare only will pay for a certain amount of hours for home health care and it's not enough hours for what he requires.  We don’t have the proper manpower or financial needs to take care of Bill on our own. He still requires A LOT of professional help. We are asking for some help to pay for nurses, doctors, and therapists. Any donations are truly and genuinely appreciated, to help out his wonderful wife of 55 years, Christina. ANYTHING helps! Please help us help Bill get back to to his old, healthy, happy, loving self.
Thank you for your time and donations.
