<div>This fundraiser is intended to provide for the daily needs of the family and cats including food, medical needs and rent. While the family need to evacuate, these costs are being collected separately to prevent money needed for medical evacuation being spent on daily needs.

<div>Mohammed Alha Jahmed is responsible for feeding and providing for his family, including his father sisters, brother and his brother's family and several cats. In October last year his brother, Noor, was diagnosed with lung cancer and told that he needs urgent evacuation.

<div> In January Noor suddenly deteriorated and was told that he needs to leave within a month. Unfortunately this did not happen before the borders closed. Noor currently needs an $800 operation, which has been recommended for him by doctors. Noor is not able to live in a tent due to his poor health and Mohammed is struggling to pay rent, afford this operation and feed his family. Noor has two children and a wife who need him to survive.

<div>Additionally Mohammed has two cats who have been with him since before the conflict began. Mish Mash and Ouz Ouz (Arabic: مشمش , Apricot, and ئوز ئوز, Goose Goose) were adopted by Mohammed two years ago, before the start of the conflict. Ouz Ouz is a sick cat, often requiring medicine and specialised food.

<div>The cats had a mother, but she sadly died during the war. Mohammed has been extremely fortunate to be able to access some limited work, but this has still left him struggling to feed his cats as well as his extended family (all of whom rely on him for support too).

<div>They were recently joined by a pregnant cat, Ona, quickly followed by several kittens.

<div>The expense is too much for Mohammed, and while he is eager to return to his work as an interior designer he is currently unable to do that due to the incessant attacks on Gaza. Asking for help is very difficult for a former proud businessman, but right now Mohammed needs your support so his family can survive until he is able to support them again.
