My Brother's House Fire
Donation protected
My brother's home caught fire on Monday, June 15, 2020. His son, my nephew, was home. He did the right thing and got out of the house rather than try to fight it or save anything, calling 911 straight away.
The home has special meaning for our family, as it belonged to a dear family friend before he passed away. It is a complete loss.
All of their belongings were burned up. Their clothing, furniture, toys, childhood memories (pictures, artwork, etc), TV, appliances, and all the things needed for everyday life. It is all burned away.
Insurance will replace the house. It will be rebuilt. But the contents are not easily replaceable.
People have already asked what they can do to help, what clothing and household items are needed, etc. It is hard to gather such items when we're all spread across the country. So, I have decided to start this GoFundMe for Kish and his son, a start for them to get the items they need.
I wasn't sure how much to set the goal at, so I put $5,000. That would be wonderful, but it doesn't have to get up to that much. Anything will help. A dollar. Two dollars. Anything to help them get through.
With warm regards, well wishes, and infinite love.
