bees and trees
Donation protected
Bees and trees are essential to the environment and to our lives. The people of Idjwi island in DRC suffer from poverty, malnutrition, deforestation and have one of the lowest life expectancies in the world (25 years according to reports by Amani Global Works). Idjwi is referred to as the 'forgotten' island, but we want to remember it and its people, and help them to live better and longer lives. This project - to buy land, beehives, and trees on Idjwi, and produce honey - is a winner on all counts - for the environment, for health and nutrition and for generating income. I have worked with Kizungu Luanda,, Director of Volunteers in Mission for Children Care, a registerd NGO in Goma, DRC for 10 years, and I have visited Idjwi many times myself. I have seen the poverty and malnutrition there and I know this can be improved. I have also tasted the honey - the best in the world! Your contribution can make a huge difference! All Donations will be transferred to Volunteers in Mission for Children Care. Please see our website for information on all we have achieved over the past 10 years. https://helenp149.wixsite.com/tchukudu
