Help us Build a New Church

Saint Miriam has gone through several stages in its short, but vibrant history: from a small mission parish in a rented chapel at a Jewish Synagogue in Philadelphia just  seven years ago, to a new home in Blue Bell that began in 2009, to a rapid and exciting growth that demands we pay attention to the needs of the parish, and the voice of God, and build something new, again! Each change was brought about by the need to expand for a growing and welcoming Catholic community like no other!

Our mission is simple: we welcome everyone!  We, Saint Miriam Parish, proclaim to all the unconditional love of God. We share a set of ancient beliefs, rich historical traditions and a dedication to renew the sacred in our daily lives. Our mission is to carry the gospel, sacraments, and God’s love to all including the unchurched, the alienated, and the disenfranchised. We accept people where they are, as they are, without judgment or condemnation. We welcome everyone to the Lord’s table and we value the dignity of each human being without reservation. We strive, with God’s grace, to live truly authentic Christian lives.

Our community is not wealthy and so the challenge of building from the ground up is an awesome task. Therefore, we are seeking assistance from friends and family beyond our parish boundaries. We have asked our parishioners to contact family and friends humbly requesting prayerful and financial help, a one-time donation toward the new campus, which can be made in Memory or in Honor of someone, too.
