<div>I didn’t know whether to tag my mom to this or block her from this post because I know she will cringe at the gesture but she needs the help. And we need her.

<div>My mother has suffered silently, putting our needs in front of hers for years and all of that came to a head on Thursday when she thought she was going to a regular dentist appointment. She was redirected to the emergency room, admitted, and after 3CT scans, 2 blood transfusions, countless medications, antibiotics and a little bit of wtfuckery- we still don’t have a solid prognosis. The medical experts are monitoring her for sepsis and other severe conditions and they want to extract her teeth. All of them.

<div>My mother has spent her whole life laughing and smiling and making others do the same. She’s one of the funniest people on the planet and also one of the most giving and talented- she deserves to have her smile back. We aren’t rich by any stretch of the imagination because if I could drop 100k on her today I would in a heartbeat. And she isn’t well enough to travel overseas to have dental work done for less (plus she got all these kids- ain’t no traveling)

<div>In the last 10 years my mom has shrank and given away so much of herself for the sake of the family she built, the community she pours into, and children who love her endlessly- not just the ones she birthed. She has so many honorary nieces and nephews! I don’t want her to lose another piece of herself (I know how she is- she will never leave the house again without teeth). She’s been through so much and I want to show her that all her love and sacrifice is not in vain. This world loves her back, just as much as she loves us. Please help me give my mom her smile back and make her life a little easier than what it is. Whatever you feel led to donate is appreciated and if you can’t at this time, I understand but at least share this post so I can get in front of the right people to make this happen for her. I want to give her her flowers in the form of a smile she can proudly wear as she delights in making others smile.
