My name is Jessica, and I was recently in a severe car accident.
This recent car accident has affected me in every way imaginable. I'm in horrible pain and unable to work the way I need to in order to keep up with the constant financial demands of life.
Leading up to this, I've battled severe endometriosis for 16 years - a debilitating, chronic pain disorder with no cure and no lasting relief. I've spent a decade in search of relief through holistic medicine. I've been turned down for disability. This accident has only worsened this pain.
I'm lucky to be alive, and yet I am weighed down by the overwhelming amount of money due and needed just to keep living.
My (new to me) car is completely totaled. I worked as hard as I could handle for over a year and poured my entire savings into that car. There is no replacement help from insurance.
I was rushed to the hospital from the scene with severe whiplash and a concussion, along with worsened endo pain. Working is almost impossible for me right now and yet the debt is stacking up.
I'm asking for help with covering monthly bills, medical expenses, buying a new (to me) car, & affording the payout for the other driver.
Cost breakdown-
My monthly bills are about $1,200/month (rent, electric, water, etc)
I need a reliable car for me to get around for work and necessities - an estimated amount of $4-7K. As well as affording the tags/license/title, gas, and any necessary work the car needs (tires, oil change, etc).
Help with affording the $5K owed to other drivers damages.
Car insurance $207/month.
$200 for the medication I need / month.
$300/month for groceries.
$50/month for phone
Help with toiletries and common household necessities.
The cost of living is high. Wages are low. Throw in a disorder, and all the debt of a car accident. I'm depressed, I'm devastated, and feel like I'm drowning. I don't know how to move forward from here... i am attempting this route due to feeling so incredibly stuck. I'm terrified to fall any further and lose more (my health & my home, etc).
Anything is appreciated.
Thank you for donating.
