Team Evie

 Thanks to Project: Cameron's Story and Children's Hospital for the pamphlets and book to read to Evie. Allowing her to hear peace in our voices gives her comfort and love that is immeasurable.


Evie Lux was born on March 18, 2018. Within 24 hours after birth, her family notice her color had been rapidly changing and she was struggling to breathe. A nurse noticed this as well and ordered Xrays to check on the situation. She was immediately transferred to Children's Hospital. We learned that Evie has a condition called Pneumothorax. It is a rare condition which involves pockets of air developing outside the lung causing lungs to collapse. Evie had to have 2 ounces of air removed from a pocket that had developed and compromised her lung capacity nearly suffocating her. During this time she also developed an infection in her lungs. All elements are being treated currently. But, this requires countless hours of round the clock physician care and her parents by her side 24/7. In order to do this (and still care for their children at home while Christina recovers from an emergency cesarean) they have had to call in the help of lots of family and friends as well as Chris missing numerous days of work with no end in sight yet. I've created this page in hopes of giving them a little relief and peace of mind that they can keep their family together as long as possible during this difficult time and remove as much stress as physically possible.
