The Walsh Family

Hi everyone, my name is Kaiya. Many of you know me through Chris and Gina’s Cafe.

My mom, Gina, had a massive stroke September of 2021. My stepdad, Chris, became her care taker 24/7.

On October 3, Chris was in a bad car accident. He’s been in the ICU in the hospital since. I am now the care taker of my mom, trying to continue to keep the Cafe up & running, pay the bills, and also care for my 5 year old sister.

My family is helping as much as they can with my mom and sister, but this is still very tough on us financially.

Because of how much is on my plate, I am unable to work. My employees at the Cafe are keeping everything running and I am very thankful for that. Without me and my moms income, things are starting to get even harder.

We own a business, but 99% of the revenue goes back into the restaurant so we receive no profit.  

Posting this was very difficult and nothing has prepared me for what’s happened to my family in the past year. My family and I would be more than grateful for anyone who reads this and contributes in anyway to lend us a helping hand.
