Help Save a Family from Eviction

Hello everyone, it has taken a lot of thought and pretty much desperation for me to get to this point, but I have decided to try my luck and ask for help.

Last week, I was served an eviction summons for unpaid rent. Last year, I was out of work for a few months and I fell behind on my rent payments. Our manager at the time was very considerate and was willing to work with us, and once I returned to work, my regular monthly payments have been up to date. It is the past due balance that has been tough for me to pay off, and now that we have a new manager at our complex, he has begun the eviction process for the rent that I missed from 2023.

I have about half of what I owe at the moment, but the new manager is no longer answering my phone calls. His only response to me is that I need to come up with the whole amount that is owed plus lawyer fees for him to stop the eviction. I have tried to contact him and offer him what I have and set up some sort of payment assistance that the county is offering me, but all communication must be through the lawyer now.

Please, if you are reading this, anything at all would help me get closer to paying the debt and saving us from getting evicted. This is my last hope and a plea for help. It’s just me and my 2 little sons. Thank you and God bless you :)
