On the evening of August 6th, a family of six lost their father in a fatal car accident on their way to the mosque. Their father, Sarmad, was pronounced dead on the scene while their mother, Haneen, 2-year old baby Zain, and 14-year old son, Hussain, remain in the hospital in critical condition.
Sarmad was the sole provider for his family and we call upon the community to help ease their burden of funeral/medical costs & life expenses as they cope with their devastating loss. Haneen, Zain, and Hussein all remain in critical condition as they await surgery for their injuries. Zain, their two-year old baby has suffered from multiple broken bones throughout his body and face, as well as lacerations across his throat, for which he is currently awaiting surgery once he is stable.
Sarmad was a loving father, husband, brother, son, and friend to many of those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. He will be remembered for his generosity towards his community and love for his wife & family. We ask for your prayers for this loving family and any monetary donations you’re able to make.
***Update 8/12/22: Haneen is home from the hospital recovering with her two of her four sons. Hussein and Zayn are still in the hospital recovering from their injuries and surgeries at this time.
