Rebecca Solís, la hija de nuestro querido compañero Erasmo Solís de la generación 2010., siempre ha sido una niña muy energética y cariñosa.
No obstante, el día 13 de septiembre, después de estar varios días con fiebre y débil, Rebecca fue llevada al hospital, en donde le hicieron varios análisis y encontraron que el conteo de plaquetas, hemoglobina y células blancas estaba muy bajo, y su hígado estaba agrandado. Además le hicieron una prueba de dengue que salió negativa.
Al día siguiente le realizaron más análisis de sangre, en donde encontraron la presencia de drepanocitos, por lo cual los doctores decidieron hacer un examen de médula ósea, en donde desafortunadamente descubrieron que Rebecca sufre de leucemia linfoblástica aguda, subtipo L1. Ella continúa internada en el hospital.
Rebecca requiere evaluación y tratamiento médico a través de Oncología Pediátrica, que lamentablemente no está disponible en Belice, y la alternativa es llevar a la niña a Mérida, México. Su familia requiere de apoyo económico para poder llevarla a México, así como sobrellevar los costos de hospedaje, manutención y otros costos misceláneos.
Por esta razón, estamos pidiendo su colaboración para que Rebecca pueda obtener el tratamiento que necesita. El tratamiento se debe realizar lo más antes posible, por lo cual le agradecemos de antemano el apoyo que puedan brindar en las próximas semanas.

Rebecca Solís, the daughter of our beloved colleague Erasmo Solís from the 2010 generation, has always been a very energetic and loving girl.
However, on September 13, after being feverish and weak for several days, Rebecca was taken to the hospital, where they did several tests and found that the platelet, hemoglobin and white blood cell count was very low, and that her liver was enlarged. They also did a dengue test, which turned out negative.
The next day they carried out more blood tests, which found the presence of sickle cells. Then the doctors decided to do a bone marrow examination, where unfortunately they discovered that Rebecca suffers from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, subtype L1. She continues to be admitted to the hospital.
Rebecca requires evaluation and medical treatment through Pediatric Oncology, which is unfortunately not available in Belize, and the alternative is to take the girl to Merida, Mexico. Her family requires financial support to be able to take her to Mexico, as well as to bear the costs of lodging, subsistence and other miscellaneous costs.
For this reason, we are asking for your help so that Rebecca can get the treatment she needs. Treatment should be done as soon as possible, so thank you in advance the support you may be able to provide in the upcoming weeks.
