Angel of Refuge For Enthum House

Tax deductible
This is the UK branch of a fundraiser set by US artist Robert Mertens in aid of Enthum House . We've set up this as a separate fundraiser in order to enable UK donors' contributions to be eligible for Gift Aid and worth more to Enthum House. This is Robert's description taken from the US fundraiser:

OUR HEARTS CAN CROSS BORDERS THAT REFUGEES CAN'T

In recent months huge numbers of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children have again arrived on the shores of Southern England. Some have travelled halfway around the world alone, in great danger and suffering.

Enthum House receives them, gives them a home, and trains them to enter English society. In short it makes it possible for them to regain their lives.

We are raising money to help the Enthum House founders and staff double
the number of kids they can help.

Will you become part of our team by donating something and spreading the word?

What is The Angel of Refuge?

The Angel picture is a visual  symbol and story that we can help make real.

The symbol represents the presence of refuge in our world and in our lives.

The story tells of what is happening during this time of world crisis and world transformation. It shows the power of The Great Life Force that animates  everything here. It swoops down, giving life and protecting our world. It offers our prayers for refuge and guidance up to God.

One of our current teenage residents saw this picture, asked what it was, and took a closer look. He was told that it is an "Angel of Refuge" and is being used to help raise money to help him and the others, by someone in California. He was moved that a person who he has never met, from far away, and of a different culture could care for him.

Our Goal-
We are raising $20,000 (c.£15,450) in this campaign (across the UKA and the USA), so that Enthum can expand its work to shelter, teach, and embrace more young people.

Enthum has plans to open another house by July 2021. This will double the number of young refugees that can be helped from 7 to 14. About £39,000 has been committed and another £60,000 is needed. Raising this $20,000 can give the people doing the work of Enthum a big boost.

Will you help?

The artist Robert Mertens is offering a gift of 10 art prints of the work, "Angel of Refuge", as thank you gifts for the first 10 donations of $100 (£77) or more across both campaigns. The prints measure 11"x 14 2/3"  28 x 37.25 CM
