Hi, my name is Neil Krohmalnik, and this is Pedro, my sweet 8-year-old Chihuahua.

Pedro has been my loyal companion and best friend, bringing joy and love into my life every single day. Recently, he started struggling to put weight on his back right leg, and after a vet visit, we learned that he will need surgery on March 3, 2025, to help him walk pain-free again. He has a torn ACL ligament that will need to be repaired.

As well he has a condition, called Extra-capsular Suture Stabilization, requires reattaching the front of his tibia to his quadriceps. While this procedure is necessary for his well-being, it also means 8–10 weeks of intense recovery—a big journey for such a small but strong pup.

Chihuahuas can live up to 20 years, and my biggest wish is to give Pedro the best, happiest, and most comfortable life possible. I want to ensure he has many more years free from pain and full of tail wags, cuddles, and playtime.

The cost of his surgery ranges from $5,500 to $6,500, which is a significant expense. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would mean the world to us and help Pedro get the care he needs.
